Every project starts with the building — its light, its structure, its history — not a mood board. The interior is a response to what is already there, never an import from elsewhere.

We would rather specify one considered piece than furnish a room to capacity. Restraint is not a limitation — it is what lets the good decisions be seen.

Built to be lived in
A home is not a showroom. We choose materials and furniture that improve with age and daily use, so a space still feels right five years after we leave it.

The Team
Elena Marsh
Founder & Creative Director
Elena founded Marl Studio in 2016 after a decade in architectural practice, drawn to the scale of a single room over the scale of a building.
Tomas Reyes
Director of Interiors
Tomas leads the studio’s residential work, with a focus on materials and joinery. He trained as a cabinetmaker before moving into interior design.
Priya Nair
Head of Projects
Priya manages delivery across the studio’s live projects, from contractor coordination to final snagging, keeping every project honest to its brief.
